FRAUD ALERT We have been notified of a mystery shopper scheme in which a purported winner notification letter has been mailed and may include a counterfeit check, which looks like a valid US Dollar check, issued by Incheck, LLC on behalf of Synovate, Inc. The fraudulent checks may come in an envelope with a hand written address from Kokomo , IN. This letter instructs that the recipient should deposit the fraudulent check and make a financial trasaction by sending money via “money gram or western union.” If you receive one of these letters DO NOT attempt to cash or deposit the check included with it. And DO NOT send any money to any company or individual through Western Union , Money Gram or any other payment method. Depositing the check or sending money may result in an irreversible loss and/or fees and penalties from your own bank. If you receive a letter that you believe may be part of this fraudulent scheme, we advise you to contact the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 and file a complaint. This letter instructs that the recipient should deposit the fraudulent check and pay certain taxes by sending money via “money gram or western union.” If you receive one of these letters DO NOT attempt to cash or deposit the check included with it. And DO NOT send any money to any company or individual through Western Union, Money Gram or any other payment method. Depositing the check or sending money may result in an irreversible loss and/or fees and penalties from your own bank.
